SHOWHOUSE SANTA FE 2014 - ANCIENT ASIAN PRIMARY SUITE

For the 2nd Annual ShowHouse Santa Fe - two weekend event the Santa Fe Interior Designer community was on amazing display! The 13,000 square foot granite estate originally built in the 1920's was offered for this year's ShowHouse by Barker Realty. The interior design theme "Ancient Future" was perfect and the individual designers did it up accordingly.

My design approach emphasized the blending of Ancient Asian with Modern abstraction for the Primary Suite that included a sitting room "Sanctuary". Starting with a Feng Shui approach, I selected Bone China paint with Gold leaf, black, creams and whites balanced with organic bamboo furnishing and plants. For continuity and contrast in design, the Primary Bedroom encompassed rich antique bronze metallic walls, deep wood toned furnishing with black accents for a masculine and feminine balance with a sultry vibe. Pairs were emphasized in the accents for Feng Shui consideration.

The sublte blush taupe walls softened the space while the metallic copper Mongolian patterned silk-threaded drapes gave a luminescent rose-tinted glow during sunset.
